WENN Apologizes for Saying Will Smith Called Hitler ‘Good’

London Lawyers for Will Smith say a British culture mediums group has apologised for a tale that incorrectly claimed the U.S. thespian said Nazi potentate Adolf Hitler was a good someone.

Celebrity word and photograph service World Entertainment News Ltd., or WENN, promulgated an article in December about a Smith interview that seemed in a Scottish paper.

Smith’s attorney, Rachel Atkins, stated, “The suspect published an article about the claimant entitled Smith: Adolf Hitler was a Good Person. The clause alleged that the claimant had announced in an interview that Nazi potentate Adolf Hitler was a good mortal.”

“It completely misrepresents the claimant’s existent words, yielded in an interview to the Daily Record, a Scottish paper and Web site,” Atkins informated.

WENN apologised for the part, but Smith’s attorneys say that was non enough. WENN has nowed made a formal apologia at London’s high court, and in agreement to give unspecified amends.

WENN’S attorney, John Melville-Smith, says the society accepts that the written report was wrong and is apologising.
