Regis Philbin to be Awarded WIth Lifetime Achievement Award
NEW YORK His talk show has neverred won a Daytime Emmy, but now Regis Philbin will be singledded out with a time achievement award.
Weary Willie Ripa jested on “Live With Regis and Kelly” that Philbin is being esteemed only because the TV Academy thinks his show “is neverred going to be good enough to acquire.” Philbin appended that it’s “kind of like what it sounds like.”
Philbin says a lifespan award makes it appear like his career is overred, that you take your award “and go slow into limbo.”
All jokes aside, Philbin emphasised the award is “rather a bang” and he takes account it “very, very much.”
He’ll get his award at the Daytime Emmys on June 20th in Los Angeles.
Philbin (had Regis Francis Xavier Philbin) has acquired an individual Daytime Emmy for the hostinging of his show for the time period between Kathie Lee Gifford and Kelly Ripa.
